The concepts behind this approach are to measure the transfer functions of the detector channels, invert those functions for use in correcting the recorded data. Simultaneous sampling of the IR and laser channels is then used to obtain data for correction and conversion to spectra. To verify performance before and after the filter modification the mirror velocity will be disturbed and the resulting errors and improvements quantified.
