The data are processed according to the method of John Brasunas#, but improvements are in progress (see Santa Barbara summary). The general idea is to clean up the laser signal, find the zero crossings, then interpolate a matching set of IR data points. The result is a conventional interferogram - exactly what would be collected by an ordinary instrument, but without any velocity error effects.
