Sensitivity Issues in Step-Scan FT-IR Spectrometry

I thank all of the people who made this work possible. Particularly, Dr. Peter Griffiths both for my post-doctoral appointment and for continuing advice during the critical start-up phase of Manning Applied Technology. The University of Idaho both for my post-doctoral appointment and administering the North Idaho Business Technology Incubator (picture) where MAT was located. I thank the NSF for funding this work under the STTR program, and DuPont for loaning the Mattson FT-IR spectrometer to Peter's step-scan effort 8 years ago (about the time I joined the struggle at Duke). And I thank two University of Idaho undergraduates, Michele Johnson and Matt Williamson, for their help with making these slides.
